The General Service Medal is a campaign medal of the United Kingdom, introduced in 1962 to replace both the General Service Medal, as awarded to the Army and RAF, and the Naval General Service Medal. This medal carries the Northern Ireland clasp, instituted for award for personnel involved in various operations during The Troubles. 
 
This superb quality reproduction features all of the detailing of an original and comes complete with the iconic green and purple ribbon. It is of solid metal construction, silver plated, and with a very good weight.
